If you want to know about a tree, go to the tree.

Solstice, December

Quiet

The bears are sleeping

You must choose to do nothing

Facts

I memorize the shapes of the moon.

A much easier task than documenting

the granite and sandstone of these hills.

Every place has a name,

Parin

Lackawaxen

Orvieto

I try to work out the meanings, but

this world is not one that I can ever begin to understand.

Three facts:

The ground is beneath,

the sky is above,

gravity makes it so.

Magnolias

This morning

I went out to find peace

I found magnolias

I found the moon
